Geriatric Hub is meant to be a one stop shop for anything ageing. It was registered in September 2023. The interest in older adults stemmed from seeing my grandmother live to a ripe age of 105 and my grandfather passing away at 99years.It was a joy to visit them and hear them tell stories about the past. I encountered several elderly persons in the community where I grew up and it was always a joy to be sent on errands by them. However, I sometimes see that they are sad, and lonely. Additionally, the caregivers usually were not well informed about the act of caring for the older individuals.In my profession as a nurse, I met old persons in their most vulnerable states needing medical attention. My greatest joy was nursing an old man in coma till he regained consciousness. His smile when he heard my voice was unforgettable. I decided to study the quality of life and health, social needs of older adults for my PhD and the findings encouraged me to set up Geriatric Hub. We founded Geriatric Hub to provide a comprehensive resource, a haven for seniors, their families, and caregivers. Here, we are dedicated to offering a wide range of services, support, and information to help you navigate the complexities of aging. We believe in ensuring that our elders enjoy a fulfilling and active life, surrounded by a nurturing community that values their unique contributions.Our journey is only made possible by the support, dedication, and collaboration of a diverse group of individuals and organizations who share our passion for improving the lives of seniors.
